1967 Ford Galaxie 500
So im looking at a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500, It seems like a pretty serious car, its got a 390, edlebrock performer intake and carb, and dual exhaust. I just wanted to get your opinions of wether it qualifies as a muscle car or a muscle car wanna be.
Thanks, Scott |

Re: 1967 Ford Galaxie 500
Scott,
Too big to be a muscle car. Some of the '67s were pretty fast, though. They had a big "7" (427) where yours says "390". If it's the sports roof (fast back) model, it's a good looking car, and makes a wonderful cruising "GALY" (Great American Land Yacht). The 390 is adequate for the car, but not a "hot rod". Jim |

Re: 1967 Ford Galaxie 500
About 7-10" in wheelbase (GTO, '64-'67 is 115", '68-'72, 112"). I believe that same era of Charger was 115", as well. The big Ferd should be about 122". Probably 500 lbs. heavier, as well.

Re: 1967 Ford Galaxie 500
The full sized 1967 Fords used a 119" wheelbase.
