Cool Mirror Painting Question

I Have A 99 Tj, 4.0 Inline 6, And I Love It. The Only Problem I Have Is The Side Mirrors Have Gotten A Little..... Shall We Say ... Nasty.
The Mirror Part Is Spotless, But The Housing And The Assly To Attach It To The Door Is Looking Kind Of Raw. The Paint Has All Chipped Off, And I Was Wondering If You People Might Know The Best Type Of Paint To Spray It With?

Re: Mirror Painting Question

If you mean the black part of the mirror, just get some sandpaper then scuff it up. Shoot it up with primer, then a few coats of dupli color paint (can be the color of the jeep if you want) and then some clear coat.

Re: Mirror Painting Question

Krylon Fusion paint works pretty good. I painted my fender flares with the satin black fusion. It held up better than duplicolor and sems. I think it is because it a self etching paint. Primer would still be a good idea though
