Kent cams pt41

I have a Peugeot 306 with a TU5JP/Z engine (1.6 4 cil EFI) And i'm looking into another cam for my car. I have removed the cilinderhead from the engine.

But i'm worried about the lift at top dead centre that is said to be 3 mm. And when i measure the distance from the valve to the engine block, the thickness of the head gasket, and the depth of the piston I can't see where the valve should open 3 mm without crashing into the piston. But the site states there is no modification needed with this cam.

Is there anybody that has some experience with the Kent cams and how they measure or test the distance from the valve to the piston.
