my 95 rodeo keeps overheating but I don't think its the cooling system, can it have anything to do with the oil pump?

Most common causes of overheating
1. Bad thermostat 2. Plugged/restricted radiator 3. Bad fan clutch I have no idea how a bad oil pump would cause overheating.
