Nova
Hey guys! I just finished this Nova. I was asked to draw it for a friend's b-day. His wife gave me some ref pics without his knowing. This is the end result.
 I figured out(about halfway thru this one) why my stuff is so grainy. My paper is too heavy or textured. I was too far along to start another one, so... You wouldn't believe the layers of color I used to get the grains to disappear! Well, they're still there. bummer. I'll definitely go with a smoother paper next time. Thanks for the tip, Al! Too bad I read your comment after I started...  B

I like it this way ( grainy )! What size is it btw?
Try using Canson Mi-Tientes paper, its also grainy, but at the same time its easy to get rid of the grains. Im drawing Nicky Hayden and a Corvette on mi tientes papers now. Nice work, keep it up  Jin

Great car, great drawing.
You can also try Q-tips for avoiding texture.

Thanks guys! I did it on 11"X14" paper. Actual size is about 6"X13".

That looks amazing, fantastic job. Yup try that Bristol Smooth, I think you can get 14x17 size and 14x11.
I had a 72 Nova, it was a fun driving car w/ 350 ci. and 350 tranny. It was fast, engine was chained down to the frame....hee hee. I think I like the 65 Chevelle best, and I like the 1970 Plymouth RR/GTX. I see many folks convert the Plymouth Satellites to GTX/RR, much cheaper that way.

Nice construction of the car and wheels. The proportions look right on. How long have you been working with colored pencils? I use Stonehenge paper and you can work the graininess out of the paper fairly easy. You can use a smoother paper but then you can't get many layers down.
