Question 1987 Pickup (is it fixable)

My son has a 1987 pickup and he rearended a BMW. I don't think that we will have a problem replacing most of the parts, but I am confused with one. After taking the passenger front fender off, the inner fender seems to be welded to the firewall and it is bent. Does anyone know if this is fixable and if so, how do we remove the old one and install the new one.

Re: 1987 Pickup (is it fixable)

if you can not pull it out and beat it back into shape then you will have to cut it off and reattach a good one.

since it is the inner, just find where it is normal and cut it off.
then find the same place on the donor truck add an inch or two then cut it off.
over lap the pieces and screw it into place..or weld if you can.

good luck.
