88 trooper cold stalls

please help me...my 88 trooper 2.6 starts but stalls out until it warms up, the code given to me from the check engine light is the tps. When it warms to normal it does not stall but when its cools it does. i have to hold the gas for like 5 minutes until it warms up. thanks for the help
