went to start it yesterday would not turn over.tried again and it took off!!tried couple times when i got home...no prob...my wife phones me 7am from work...problem!!! I looked at it this am. turn the key 1 click...lots of power, tried to jump the coil, checked all the connects didn't notice anything just hoping its not the starter
!!! would it be worth tryin a new coil?? or would i be wasting money..gotta move it,might be able to do the coil there.Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Coil doesn't make the motor spin, and I am assuming from your description that the motor is not spinning. My guess is that it is either the starter or the connections to the starter.

Re: 1 clik when i turn key....95 wagon 3l
What I would do is check and tighten all the cable connections on the starter. Usually the starter solenoid is located directly on top of the starter. Just make sure that the bolts on the starter are tight and if loose then tighten it up. I have encountered intermittent starting problem due to loose starter bolts. So, just make sure the bolts are tightened and tightened the cable connections.

Sometimes when the starter is binding and just gives you clicks or no clicks at all, a lot of folks just use a hammer and smack on the starter itself and it loosens itself and unbind and starts working again.
