Newbie says Hi! (with pics)

Hello all, I'm a newbie to this forum and would just like to say hi. I've just got back into modeling after a 4-year haiatus. So far my last two projects have been pretty encouraging, you can view them at my website here: My web page my current project is a CTR that I plan to light with LED's. I will also atempt the same with a fujimi New ITR (RSX) when it comes in the mail next week. I'm glad I found a community where I can get advice from when I need it, and I hope that I can help others to.

Current progress on CTR:

The base, power supply and switch as they sit now, if anyone's intrested I'll update as I do more.

Hope to have some good times ahead!!

Hello and welcome to AF

That's a good-looking WRX on your web page. And is that another Civic in the background of your pics?

Any more info and pictures on the LED lighting would be greatly appreciated, it's something I'd like to have a go at myself.

Actually they're somewhat modified rims from the tamiya WRX STi kit I built, I picked up two kits from the hobby shop, one as a back up, (I had just gotten back into modeling after a four year break), so I could have a few spare parts lying around if I screwed up majorly. I had done a little 1:1 automotive body work and was used to wiping down parts with lacquer thinner before primming to remove oil and residue. As you can probably deduce I royaly screwed up the original body. So basically I now have a ton of spare parts.

You and I are living the same dream, Although I do have the email adress of a company that will import one for a measly $100,000 U.S. dollars....
