I need help Boys!

I left the lights on in my 92 toyota pickup and when came back out the battery was dead. When I tried to jump it, I placed the black cord onto an edge of the vehicle hoping to ground it, but caught a spark that must have caused short. A number of the fuses under the hood blew out, but none inside under the steering wheel. I cannot get the truck to start now. Have put in newly charged battery, replaced all the fuses under the hood except EFI (they didn't have extra one in stock). Lights inside work, headlights work, buzzer in ignition works, but only hear a click upon starting. There is no crank up sound at all. Is it possible that I have messed up the starter? Is there another location to look for shortage problems? I'm not really sure where to look from here. Thanks for any help you can offer.

First, is the EFI fuse good? If not, you aren't going anywhere. Use a test light or meter to check power input and output to determine if the fuse is good. When you try to start the truck with the headlights on, do the headlights dim? Make sure all the connections to the starter are good, clean, and secure. Did you put in a new battery? Or just charge the dead one? Try tapping the starter with a hammer. Old starters have worn bushings that may bind, making starting difficult. Check all the power inputs to the starter. Use a wiring diagram to determine what wires should have power and when.

Thanks for responding! It was the EFI fuse. Glad to have it working again.
