Re: 1993 Ssei Sputtering When Speeding Up
Could have saved a buck on the SC, very unlikely it was playing a part. Look at your fuel pressure, certainly have the classic signs. They're also known for failed or weakened coils, which will cause a stumble. Fuel is a good start though.

Re: 1993 Ssei Sputtering When Speeding Up
My 94 SSEI does the same thing. My mechanic told me it is a magnet that the camshaft sensor reads. It is mounted on the camshaft gear and it is a little involved to replace a $1.75 magnet. Several hundred dollars.

Re: 1993 Ssei Sputtering When Speeding Up
I am about to buy a 93 SSEi myself and it does this same thing but only when the pedal is put to the floor,up to that it dips along just fine ??
Have you figured out your problem yet ?? My first thought also was the coil pack as I had a similar problem a while back with a 84 century 3.8 T-type and it had a bad / weak coil pack. |
