Does Nissan have a racing division that will have factory modifications for the 350Z?

Does Nissan have a racing division that will have factory modifications for the 350Z?

I am not real familiar with Nissan and wondering if anyone knows

Does Nissan have a racing division that like Dodge has PVO or Toyota with TRD? If so, will there be any factory installed performance modifications for the 350Z? I am thinking factory installed twin-turbo's or a SC? I see the option for the track version of the car which appears to lighten it up and put Brembo's all the way around but I am looking for something with a little more power but has a factory warranty.

You are looking for Nismo (a.k.a. Nissan Motorsports). That's a link to their Japanese site, but they're supposed to open shop in the U.S. soon...

there's a thread regarding the 33Z trying to spec FIA/GT/ALMS reg, in wich by FIA requirement, Nismo has to produce 1000 street versions. I'll find the link and post it here. If Nismo does decide to do so (Nissan North America, if they decide to play), the tech and parts will trickled down to the masses.

I am debating on trading in the Viper for something a little more civilized but hate giving up the HP.

On a side note, why does the track version weigh more than the standard 350Z, Enth, and Performance versions? I would think with the lighter wheels it should be lighter but I guess the additional spoilers,Brembo's, etc. increase it that much more...
