Timing help
I just went to time my geo and when I did the mark was all over the place it kept moving between 12 and 20. Shouldnt this mark be in one spot?

Re: Timing help
It is a 95 and has the 4 cylinder 1.3 liter engine. when I didnt use the jumper wire is when the markjumped around. When I DID use the jumper wire the mark stayed in one spot. but shouldnt it only be in one spot without the plug being jumped? and where is the vacuum advance?

Re: Timing help
No, it won't ever stay still when you don't short the jumper. It's the ECU trying to make the car idle properly. Your car doesn't have vacuum advance.
