Deal, Or No Deal? =]

Hey guys, i seen a car for sale in a parking lot and i cudnt help but stare. It was a 2002 cavalier, 5 speed, 2 door silver, base model. I was hoping to hell it had the eco engine but i popped the hood and it didnt It had the revised 2200 if u wanna call it that. Anyways it had a LOW 59,000kms or 36,660 miles. I took her for a test drove, it seemed to run pretty smooth, but it was more gutless than i thought it would be, it seems worse than my 96 3 speed, i know they revised the engine and made it smoother and lost a few hp but it shudnt be that big of a dif.. It looks very nice tho, the body is almost mint etc. He is asking 6,300 Canadian which i cud chop him down to like 5800 at least im thinking. Do u guys think this a good deal? Or shud i wait out for an eco like i was hoping for.. I thought it was cheap for an 02 with low kms..

Quick responses wud be nice, i told him id get back to him. Thanks fellas'

Ehhh i've never drove a 2200 so I cant compare it to my Eco, but for that much I would really be looking for a Eco.

Re: Deal, Or No Deal? =]

it went from the 2200, to the ecotec. what is the revised 2200??

edit: unless its the 2.3 liter, but thats more of a 2.4 then a 2200 though, since its an overhead cam, not overhead valve

until that gets cleared up i cant really give ya my opinion, but if for some reason it is the 2200, i'd give it a big FUCK NO

Eco will be more powerful, but I happen to like my OHV. Both have their ups and downs.

I think i might just do that.. It was the 2200, but the semi new version, the distributor cap is in diff locatioin, different valve cover, but it IS OHV not CAM, thats what i was thinking, not worth it.

So this means i need a LS or z24 version of an 02 or just an 03 and up for a deff. eco.. I kinda like the style of the 02 body before they changed, we will see Thanks guys

In canada they have a z24 with an eco in it. You might want to look around for one of those??
