why is this necessary

why is the lower panel needed on the kouki tails? isnt it the same as the stock panel? i was thinkin about it earlier, just curious.. heres a pic if you dont know what im talking about

The tail lights are shaped different so the lower panel is different. They are pretty close but not the same, if you tried to mix and match then it would look off and probably wouldn't fit.

I actually saw some in person a while back and they looked pretty good. I'm usually the first to laugh at anyone buying anything for a car that is cosmetic but I have to admit the Type X package is pretty sweet.

yea thats why i still shiver at the thought of $500 tailights or even a front end conversion. If you get rear-ended or hit someone you cant just run to the junkyard and pick up another set of type-x's. i mean theyre defintely nice and i love the look, i just dont know if i would risk it, especially where my car is daily driven
