Exclamation 1999 sunfire stall problem

i am having problems with my 99 sunfire stalling when i try to leave stoplights the check engine light is on and it gives the trouble code p0122 which is "Throttle/Petal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Low Input" i need help translating what this means. thank you!

your TPS (throttle position sensor) on your throttle body (the sensor that tells the computer how much you are pushing the pedal) is most likely shot. You can take it to the dealer and pay an arm and a leg for a repair, OR, get a Haynes manual for your year car, and just pay for the part.

If you dont repair/replace this soon, you wont be driving, since this tells the computer when you press on the gas, it wont really work without it too well.

TPS is about $45.00 at most parts stores. Takes 10 minutes to replace. Not hard at all. All you'll need is a #T15 Torx bit to remove it.
Go to your local library and take a look at the Haynes manual. It'll show you what to look for and how to get at it/replace it.
