Re: skyline gts r32 engine

R32 GTS engine is RB20DE, why spend money for that shitbox non turbo engine? Or did you mean GTS-t? RB20DET is still crap.

first things first find the car. if youre planning on doing a swap it shouldnt matter too much what motor comes in the 240 you buy, but just FYI.. the DOHC comes in 91+. once you get the car, figure out what you want from the car (drift, drag, autox etc) then come back. if you are leaning towards drifting, my advice would be do the engine last. learn the car first, weld the differential (if it isnt daily driven) and pick up a set of coilovers and other good suspension pieces.. just learn from there. if you are leaning more towards drag racing, I would say go for KA-t. like i said, it all depends on what you want to do with the car.

Re: skyline gts r32 engine

Because it takes alot of money to fit into a 240 and SR has same potential if not more.

Re: skyline gts r32 engine

i personally like the rb20.. my buddy has one in his coupe.. along with a front end conversion and a welded diff... you should see that thing spin... sounds awesome too..

If i had to chose a swap between SR and RB20, id probably take the SR (less work and almost same potential like jonathon said), but i still like the RB's. nothing beats the sound of those things

Re: skyline gts r32 engine

RB20 in a Skyline is cool, sounds of straight 6s are awesome, I jyust don't think it's worth the trouble of putting one in an S-chassis.

And it's Jonathan, not Jonathon, lol

oh. you wrote that the rb20 is a shitty engine instead of saying it was a shitty swap. i agree, not worth it at all.
