97 Z28 making a noise at the axle area.

My Z28 is making a thump or a bump noise at the rear axle when i step on the gas from the start or if i step on it in a roll and it shifts from 1st to 2nd. I thought it could have been the lower control arms so i just changed them to SPOHN performance control arms and that didn't do it. I don't know if this has anything to with it or not but when i light the tires up it drifts to the left.

Re: 97 Z28 making a noise at the axle area.

u sure it's not ur tranny mount? located at the rear of the tranny....if it breaks, it'll let the torque pull ur tranny/driveshaft up and thump on the bottom of the floorboard....
