I have a 1995 lt1 camaro with crane gold 1.6 roller rockers and i would like to know if they would set off my knock sensor causing timing alterations. kinda new to the lt1 knock information world any help would be appreciated, thanks. and also i have ordered a pro 5.0 shifter, i was wandering if anyone reading this had experience with it, likes or dislikes, thanks

Re: LT1 Knock Sensor

Not the most versed in LT1's, you'll get a much better chime no doubt soon.

But, a knock sensor in general is only focusing on the engine bottom end (detonation).

Also, roller rockers are quite a bit quieter than solid, and should be what came in the motor origianlly.

don't see any issue from this point

Re: LT1 Knock Sensor

I can't see that hurting but if you do want to upgrade to an LT4 Knock Module it's easy to do and pretty cheap

Re: LT1 Knock Sensor

one of my rocker arms is ticking more than it should, so i'm assuming that it needs to be adjusted. probably backed off the stud, but why i asked about it is that the car feels like it's losing power from the time the noise started to become apparent, the sound was only minute at first, but gradually increased and ever since the noises started the car feels like it's losing power.

sorry for not including this in the prior post, but this is only a recent thing. i'm not driving the car with a loose rocker arm or anything like that.

Re: LT1 Knock Sensor

are your crane rockers self adjusting? if so they are probably installed/adjusted the same way as the gm roller rockers. you tighten the nut on the rocker untill the rocker has zero lash (doesnt move back n forth) then you turn the nut 1/2 - 1 full turn, put in the set screw and you're done. The power loss could be from a valve not opening/closing right.

Re: LT1 Knock Sensor

Get yourself a LT4 Knock module. It is only like 40 bucks on ebay and is what LT1 with roller rockers were meant to have.
