The cloth is falling off the headliner on mine. I plan to take it out to reglue it, anyone done this before? Got a glue and application recommendation? Thanks, Tim

Re: Headliner falling
Ditto, jsut make sure it sets up tacky first, dont' just spray it and apply the liner, you need to give it a few minutes. Also, much like a paint job, the outcome will only be as good as the prep work that went into it, so make sure the surface is clean and free of old foam debris.

Re: Headliner falling
I replaced mine a few years ago. My experience is that the foam was rotten and the material was coming apart so trying to glue the old material was virtually impossible.
I went to a Fabric store (whose name escapes me right now, but it wasn't a national chain) and was looking for fabric and they actually had headliner material in various colors (mine is gray). Anyhow I bought a piece and the 3M glue and the thing looks just like new. I think the material was around $40 and the glue around $10, my memory recalls about $50. |
