Hey guys.. I just joined this forum to get some help with my 240SX.. Well.. It's no longer.. Over this weekend some guy decided he was gonna stop at 1AM in the deceleration lane on an exit and thought it was a breakdown lane. He had his door open and hanging out into the lane. It was raining, the person in front of me slowed to like 25-30MPH in the #1 lane and swerved around that vehicle. Well here I am coming at a religious 65MPH because we know these cars suck in the rain. I hit the brakes and hoped for the best. I hit her doing about 50MPH in the rear end. The guy that was stopped wasn't hit but he took off. He was the cause of the accident. Well, now that you know my story. I ask you to Mourn the loss of my totalled 1990 Nissan 240SX.

It's damaged more than it looks, the whole rear end was pushed up and creased the pilliars around the rear window

Sorry to hear your news. I would try to buy it back from the ins company if you plan to buy another. Use this one for parts.

its ok bro... look 4 another 240, get a DOHC this time and buy GOOD rain tiers and keep the speed LOW..

RWD + rain - traction control - ABS = BAD!

Ouch man, sorry to hear that. Try to grab it from the insurence company for parts though that's a good idea.

Yeah I'm okay, I my back and my leg was sore for a little while, but it's gone now and I feel alright. hah, this car apparently had a 5 star crash test rating for the driver. Well, take it from me, it's true. So at least you know your 240 won't kill you
I'd buy it back but I have no place to put it and I'm an hour away from where it is and theres no way i'm paying for that tow.. LoL

Yeah I read about you driving the 93 Honda Accord and how ironic it was because that's what I hit in my accident.. haha.. Thanks guys for all the replies.. I'm bummed out about the car, but it can be replaced, I can't.. But I was just thinking today, when I got the car, there was a cross clipped to the drivers side visor, I didn't really think anything of it because I'm not religious or anything but I just left it there. Couldn't hurt. Maybe that's why I'm here right now, this was a really serious accident and I could've been really badly hurt. Someone was lookin out for me.

yea thats a good way to look at it... i dont know if you were alone or with others... but as i wrote i was with my girlfriend... my girlfriend and i are really close and i dont know what i would do if one of us (her especially) got hurt. we all got lucky this weekend, good to know you made it out ok.

Dude that really sucks. Also I have two pugs here in the house and thats what I thought. I was like damn dude... that looks like the dogs... 'cept they didn't hit a car goin 50.
