Im having a problem when taking off it seems as if it s not getting fuel. its a 92 2.3 mustang lx.. first thoughts are fuel pump.. i just changed the filter. also think ing along the lines of in jectors.. is there a way to check the fuel pump? turning it on with a pressure test. pumps it up to around 35 lb. then after like 5 minutes it drops to 29. checked the vacuum lines and spark plugs. any help here which way to go maybe first.

If you want to know for sure its your fuel system then get a spray bottle with some gas and spray it into the intake manifold. If it kicks up and runs normal then its more then likely the fuel pump.

got a code 172 hego sensor indicates lean does this mean change the sensor is there a possiblity something else is wrong?

Yeah could be number of things that is what sucks. Go with the gas thing if you have the tools. Depending on cost thats up to you what you go after. If you can test the sensor.

i purchased a new hego sensor threads stripped on the manifold so its being tapped hopefully, should have it back together tomorrow nite and got a tip on the throttle position sensor probably the culprit if this one doesnt work. i'll let you know what happens.. never any easy change..

ok changed the o2 sensor actually worked surprised.. just anote remove the exhaust manifold for easier change of this part just too hard to get to it witout this removal..

thats what makes it so fun and a good learing experience, seems everyone has a little different advice just figuring out which is right for that particular problem is the key.. thanks again for everyone who added some input.. always willing to try something or do something to find the fix for the problem..
