2000 winstar no high idle does not wantto run

I have read all the threads but cant find an answer. my winstar will does not have high idle and does not want to idle. also the cruise control wuit working. any help will keep me from losing the rest of my hair

If it stalls immediately after letting off the gas, try cleaning out the IAC valve and see if that fixes it. The cruise is another issue.

I have a 1999 Windstar that had the cruise control malfunction. I replaced the speed control switch (It's attached to and under the master brake cylinder) a very easy job. That did the trick. Good luck.

i also hear a "sucking" sound from the back of the intake when you hit the throttle
