Looks good. What kits are these and what did you use for the headlamp/grill surrounds, is that just BMF? Thanks.

Mike.

Looks awesome! Not a Nascar fan to be honest, but these are a couple of great builds and I can appreciate the effort and skill that's gone into them.

What is it that you used for a base???
Is it a simple mirror, or rather glass on a dark coloured base?

nice pictures buddy...and nice job.

sorry for my misunderstood, but this part of car is in right direction? I thought it is back to front (inverted). Isn´t it?

if I am wrong, please forget my misunderstood, I am not experienced with those nascars.

I believe that part is backwards. The rounded part probably sits under the rear window and rear decklid (Boot), sealing off the trunk area from the cockpit.

It looks like the base he used for his photgraphs is the roof of his car LOL

I used the sunroof of my car as base, very simple and gives nice pictures

You are correct, that's exactly what i've thought, but the manual showed it like this, and altough my feeling told otherwise, I've mounted as the manual. I couldn't find helpful reference pictures

Those have to be 2 of the best Nascar builds I've ever seen!! The extremely nice photography caprures all of the detail you've put into each build.

Re: Completed: 2x Oldsmobile Kodak Nascar

No problem, nice builds. Always neat to see you ferr'ners building big old American iron.

I wouldn't sweat that 'package shelf', it's probably not even noticeable when the body is on. And in your neck of the woods, I doubt anybody else will notice it either LOL

An FYI about NASCAR: Under the skin they are all pretty much the same car, even from different brands the only big difference would be the engine (And the sheetmetal: Rusty Wallace had a few favorite cars that he ran for a couple of years in the early 90s, and when he switched from Pontiac to Ford he more or less swapped the bodies and engines and kept using them until they weren't competitive anymore). It's even difficult to tell what era the cars are from sometimes: I have a Dodge Charger kit from the 70s that isn't all that much different from a modern car. So you don't have to find reference photos of a specific car to make use of them.

Plus NASCAR wasn't exactly the real high-dollar sport it is now, so if you looked underneath cars would always have some sort of a visible fix or quickie modification (Cars tended to gain weight over time from painting, body and chassis fixes, and they'd even find rubber and gravel hidden in the corners after tearing them open), so creative guys can always have some fun there.
