tint bubbles!!!

hey i just had my windows tinted two days ago to 20% all around except the windshield. 150$ for a shop to do it. they did it in about 2 hours. so in the end there are tiny small bubbles or whatever it is on the edges of the rear window and also some on the edges of the side windows. the bubbles are where there are those black dots on around the windows. it was like that when they got it done. so im just wondering if these bubbles will go down by themselves or can i do anything to make them go away? thanks.

Most likely, they will not go away. It means there is still air between the glass and tint, and they should have squeezed it all out when they did the job. I think the areas with the little black dots are difficult. I've seen that on all of my cars afterwards.

Re: tint bubbles!!!

i'm acutally having the same problem. same shit, windows at 20% all around except i boned and accidentally rolled down my window the day after they were tinted, now there are a few bubbles through that window and only that one. anyone know if there is there anything i can do, if it might go away, or is it gonna have to be redone? the shop offers a lifetime warranty on the tints, so redoing it shouldn't be a problem.

Re: tint bubbles!!!

Try parking in the sun for a few days, it might go away as the fresh tint dries and tightens up.

If I were you I would take it back to the shop (and burn it down!) and tell them your situation.

Re: tint bubbles!!!

If it was a job I did, I would prick each bubble with a pin, try to get some water in in and squegee it out and flat...
