Help! Grand Am (quad 4) 95 doesn't start...

Things were going nice since few weeks. I just changed the Alternator, it died few weeks ago. I have a trouble since I bought this car 2 years ago but it doesn't matter, the car works well. The power (throttle) stops (when running), even if I press the pedal and few sec after it Give a kind of kick down and get faster, like If I was pushing the pedal to the floor. THIS is not the Problem I have. NOW it died in a gas station and refuse to restart. The Starter Turn very well but the Motor don't react. Like if there was no gas that reach the spark plugs... Few minutes ago it was going very well. I ran out of gas I think or it died just in front of the gas pump. (I was near to stall due an empty gas tank) Thanks guys and girls!

Sounds like your fuel pump gave up. It happens often when they are tired and you run the tank extremely low. The fuel in the tank keeps the pump cool, when the fuel level is low the pump gets hot.
