total rebuild 95 v8

hey all i am about to start a total rebuild on my 95 bird. i am going to put all black interior with flame etchings and make a kick ass flame job on exterior. what i am wondering is if i should just go out and buy a brand new engine and transmission or should i get a rebuilt pair? i am also planning on boring it over so let me know what u guys think ty.

If money is no object then buy a new drivetrain. If you're like most of the rest of us then go rebuilt. There are many reputable places to buy rebuilt engines so do your homework to find one that will build what you want. Years ago, Ford used to sell rebuilt engines but I don't know if they still do. You could ask at your local speed shop to see who they recommend for both the engine and tranny.

Just get a '02 + Explorer 4.6L engine.
It's all aluminum & you'll save 70-80 pounds.
