Should I Swap Rebuilt Engine??
I'm looking into buying my first car and am interested in a '98 Mk3 GTi VR6. Great price and its being sold nearby... However, it has 109,000+ miles on it. I dont plan on any heavy tuning, just some bolt-ons, exhaust, CAI, pulley kit, and maybe a short shifter/LW flywheel and some suspension work. Will the engine be able to handle even bolt-ons with that many miles on it? Or should i try to locate a rebulit engine to swap in? I'm on a pretty slim budget. Any information helps, thanks.
