Re: headlight bulbs

hey ICe devil wussup,

Removeing Headlight: to change the headlight bulbs on a 02 GA is to simply Pop the hood and of course prop rod it up now there should be like a black plastic piece on the lower part of the car on top of the headlights radiator and all that garbage. now simply holding that plastic thing are these plastic screw thing i took a hammer to prop them up tyou can use a screw driver or watever u get ur hands on, now when the screw thigns are off just pull out the big plastic thing and now revealing the top of the headlights. Simply ontop of the Headlights are like these 2 little sheets of metal that look like they can be pulled ther eone on the far top corner of the headlight and one toawrds the inner part of the headlight, Simply with full force pull them up sometimes they will get stuck with like an indent so they dont fall out and shit so with a screw driver while pullin look for the little part on the metal thats stickin out holdin it in place and with the scre driver push it away from the hole and pull, do this on each of em till you completely pulled the out of place. Now with ease you headlights are loos and can be pulled out

InstallingBulb: There should be Ring son the back of the headlight Which ever one your pullin out you need to twist it then pull but be careful those stpid rings break easily, if its your main headlight pull that one out and just remove the bulb from the Harness and replace it with your new Bulb, then put it back into the hole and re twist itback into place.

Instaling headlight back: now this can tend to be a pain in the ass, What you need to do is on the back of the headlight you see this 2 long screws stickin straight up if they wer emoved you need to align them to fit into these little box area behind the headlight itself and fixing it push them right in and then push the headlight and hold it with light pressure and push the mietal pieces back into placer until they click in and cannot be removed, after both sides are installed simply put the black plastic piece back on and with the little black pop screw things pop them up and put them back in place, turn your car on and enjoy!

Bulb size: the headlight Bulb is 9007.

Re: headlight bulbs

silvania silver stars are the hotest I beleive, they are 55/65watts.
If you get to much hotter , you'll melt the headlamp housing

Re: headlight bulbs

The bulbs will only go in one way.
Theirs three slots on the bulb that lines up with the lamp housing. One is larger then the other two.

Becarefull with the black rings that hold them in.
They are plastic and the tabs break off real easy,
cost about $10-12 at the Dealershit.

Re: headlight bulbs

I thought I had a broken one handy but I dont.

When you pulll the headlamp housing out, right where the wires are going, you cant miss that black ring. They screw on to hold the bulbs in. cheap tho! the tabs break from heat making the plastic brittle.

I hav found it best to unplug the wire harness form the bulb, before you attempt to remove the bulb.
Pay attemtion to the bulbs orientation , that'll help putting it back together.

And sometimes they do need adjusted.... good luck! hopefully you wont need to. The adjusters are good about not working, and I hav Yet to find any with out buy the headlamp housing, from the dealer. :
