Spark Plugs

What is the reccomended spark plug for a 1999 Chevy Malibu 2.4l?

Would the Autolite Double Plats be fine?

Re: Spark Plugs

1998 - 2000 2.4L 4 cylinder AC 41-942 PLATS GAP .050
I would stick with the AC and possibly rpl wires too

remember with all aluminum, do not remove bolts or sparkplugs till the engine is stone cold.

Absolutely agree with this, stick with OEM. Also would advise you to use a Torque wrench on the plugs.

Re: Spark Plugs

A little anti-seize is also good insurance with aluminum heads.

Sorry but I had to edit out that web site address included in the quote.

Re: Spark Plugs

that was really weird , one minute the post was there and the next it was gone, thought I had deleted it somehow. No loss , NGK were good plugs for my 1974 Honda 750, no way would i recommend them for my Impala / Malibu
