How to glue clear plastic?
Exactly how should I glue the clear plastic parts?
Local hobby shop suggests me to use some white glue as it won't melt the plastic and dries clear. Anyone tried this? Other options?

Look in the gallery. There you can see quite a few finished models. Most of them, if not all, have windows and lights. Now this means that somebody (including the humble old me) has successfully glued these clear parts to the model. Now being the kind guys that we are here, we decided to have something that would help beginners in this hobby and answer their most important questions. Glueing clear parts is important, so do you reckon it could be in the FAQ?

In FAQ?
I read the thing couple times? Or maybe I missed it? Will check back again. EDIT: Yes, it really is in the FAQ. I sort of skipped that part since I didn't give too much thought to 'glue' in modeling. "KRYSTAL KLEAR or CLEAR GLUE...The ONLY choice for clear parts.....etc.etc."So I guess Krystal Klear is the brand of the glue? Where can it usually be found? arts'n craft stores? Hobby shops?

for light and small clear part, use a small toothpick to put very small amonth of glue (less is better than more)

Re: How to glue clear plastic?
you dont have to make this any harder then it has to be, you don't have to use kristal klear, or testors clear parts cement. but as they've said it is their professional choice. you can always
get elmer's glue or any other "white" craft glue that states it drys clear. I use it with good results.
