Climate control knob failure

Ok was driving home the other night and went to change the vents to defrost, and the knob on my climate control just spins freely. I pulled the knob off and it doesn't appear to be broken. This is a 96 Jimmy SLE. Will I need to swap out the unit, or does anyone know if I can fix it?

You will need to swap out the control. Stop by your nearest bone yard for it.

Re: Climate control knob failure

Actually it turned out to be broken. there was a perfect hairline crack down the side. Little JBWeld and and it's working like a champ again.
