the size of the Jetta engine

Well i looked under the Hood of my friends Jetta today, cause i was checking his oil for him(were 16 and 17 years old, lol......and i know alot more about cars then him, so i helped him out) and it said it was a 2.0, is that V6 motor in there or a 4 Cylinder, i wasnt sure, cause i dont kknow much at all about VW cars, if you can give me an answer that would solve my curriousty, lol

The 2.0-liter is a 4 cylinder.
