Is my Engine ok to up the boost?

I plan on up'ing the boost from 13 to 15 or 16 on my 3rd gen 3sgte. I had the motor compression tested #1-170, #2-165, #3-155, #4- 175. Theres a little variation there, so does that seem healthy enough?
thanx

Re: Is my Engine ok to up the boost?

The way I see it, the real question is your wallet ready to up the boost. The more you up the boost, the higher the stress on the motor. You motor can be healthy and stuff still can go wrong. If you money is OK turn it up and have some fun....If not chill until better days. I am also assuming you have the necessary fuel and tuning upgrades.

Re: Is my Engine ok to up the boost?

The stock fuel system should be able to handle 15 or 16 psi, the fuel cut on a 3rd gen is 18, its got a revised fuel rail with 540 injectors. Ive put in NGK coppers with a .28 gap, fresh cap, the wires have less then 4,000 miles on them. Ive got a ko down pipe, exhaust, and spearco I/C in the mail. Im just wondering if thats an acceptable range of compression on the motor?
Thanks-
S.B.

Just get a wideband to keep an eye on your mixture and I say full steam ahead.
