Re: battery

Do you have a capacitor installed? And if so, is that turning off?

A capacitor.. simply put, is like having another battery. It's wired from the battery, and then the amp is wired to it, it helps to keep from draining your battery and improves overall quality.

Are you sure you have the remote wire hooked up correctly. If you have it hooked up to a constant 12v wire, then the amp will constantly be on. Make sure you have it hooked up to the accessory wire. Your amp should have come with some sort of install guide that should help you out a little better. Also, you are using it with an aftermarket radio right?

Re: battery

since the +12v is coming straight from the battery, make sure youre not shorting anything out.. if it is, theres your problem..

Re: battery

Try disconnecting the amp overnight and check results. Play w/ the pos. wire in a dark garage and see if there is a spark when its connected. My 96 will die when in harsh winter and sits for 3 or 4 days w/ a brand new battery and alternator.
