Re: this could be pretty sweet

Depends on what body they are sitting in. That heavier Trans Am is probably around mid to low 14's.

Re: this could be pretty sweet

Car looks pretty bad. How fast they are depends. My mom had a fomula firebird which she sold to my cousion. He put new tires on it and ran a 13.8; and it was an auto.

so i say high 13's low 14's.

Re: this could be pretty sweet

Convertibles are usually a couple hundred pounds heavier than coupes, so I'd say low 14s

Re: this could be pretty sweet

they are mid to low 14 second cars
but have been known to break the 13's stock...i would assume it was really really low near sea level and or a factory freak

Re: this could be pretty sweet

^^ Agreed. A guy in my town had an auto LT1 with headers, full exhaust for that matter, intake and some other minore mods and ran a 14.3.

Re: this could be pretty sweet

I wouldn't own an F-Body that is a vert.
I like the look, buy they are too heavy for the purpose of the car.
Besides...T-Tops > convertible.

That car (if stock) is a low-mid 14 second car. Probably worse than that until you learn the clutch and how it grabs.
