Top Speeds of TB

What are some of the top speeds people out there have gotten there TB's up to? I got an '05 6 Cyl. and was on the freeway last night and got it up to 110 and it seemed like there was still more there for it to go. Very smooth at high speeds.

The pcm cuts the fuel at about 118 based on tire speed ratings.

Re: Top Speeds of TB

Even the SS model is limited to 130 (though who needs to go faster in a truck like this - all the easier to roll)

Talking Re: Top Speeds of TB

Last year, when I was doing temp duty in Kuwait, we had a 2005 TB with the basic in-line 6, and I regularly got it up over 100. I think tops was about 115, and smooth as could be. A passenger once remarked that he couldn't believe we were doing anything over 80.
Personally, my own '02 LTZ TB gets babied and never goes over 75.

Re: Top Speeds of TB

Depends on year, engine, and gear ratio. TB SS is limited at 130 regardless as only 4.10 gears are offered.

My regular 02 I6 topped out at 107, but I have since removed it via EFILive (and some custom calibrations). Havent had a chance to get it up over 80 after I got the new speedo cals for limiter removal, but every weekend I keep looking for a spot to just hit it and go for it. Im hoping I can hit ~120ish easily, my TB pulls to 70 fast, 70-80 is still pretty quick, 80-90 is okay, 90-100 is slowing down, 100-107 is S L O W (dont know how much of that is due to the old programming though).

How about wind resistance as we are driving bricks with wheels!
