Buying 1st muscle car...
I'm ready to jump in and get a muscle car I would love to get some advice from some veteran owners.
Here's what I'm looking for. 1. Fun, powerful weekend cruiser and car show car. 2. No projects! I need this car to be done. 3. Don't care about originality or numbers matching. 4. I'd like to keep it under 22kish. I like this 442 clone, but I think it's a bit expensive for a car that is really a Cutlass. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Oldsm...QQcmdZViewItem Thank you for your help! |

Re: Buying 1st muscle car...
Yeah, the 442 Clone looks a bit pricy. Just hang in there and take your time and you will find a deal on a nice one.
Good luck, Jon

Re: Buying 1st muscle car...
I would suggest doing a complete check of the car you decide on. Some of the cars for sale now days are really nice looking but under close inspection the trunks and floor pans are rusted out and body filler is covering up rusted quarter panels. They are made to look nice but all the short cuts were taken. If you are not sure what to or how to look for things like this get it touch with your local car club and ask if there is anyone willing to look at the car with you. If it is an internet purchase spend the extra cash for an inspection by a professional, he could save you from paying to much for to little.
