1982 Chev Diesel 1/2 Ton Pick-Up Side-Step Short Box

I own the above model truck and a number of people have commented that they have never seen this particular model and didn't know GM had built the side-step 1/2 ton with a diesel.

Can anyone give me some statistics on the number of these trucks that were manufactured for this year with diesel engines and for other years or be able to provide me with a web site to find out ?
