Got my Buschur Racing book yesterday

Well yesterday my book from Buschur came in the mail. I'm kind of dissappointed, but at the same time interested by the book. I know it was published by Buschur, but it's almost as a book full of advertisements. They show ALL their cars with all their parts they put on it (and then even give you their online part numbers in parenthesess). I mean, I understand they should put some stuff in there, but I feel they went overboard. I guess I haven't finished it yet, but I'm about half done and am somewhat displeased. One thing I really like about this book is that it has a very nice writeup about the history of the DSM, and some pretty cool facts. Like how many cars of what make were sold in what year. For example, in 1995, 60,650 Eclipses were sold, but only 40,020 were sold in 1998. In 95, 20,340 Talons were sold and a mere 326 were sold in 98. Anyways, it seems the majority of the book is about the EVO, I think it's a 60-40 split, 60% about the EVO, 40% about the DSM. They have a few other cars besides theres in there, but the summarys of the other cars are quite short. They list Shepherd's car, Archer Brothers Racing, Brent Rau of Osofast Racing Team, Jeff Hill of Turbotrix Racing, and Pruven Performance.

Overall, I'm still happy I bought the book even though the title "Modifying Your Mitsubishi Powered DSM & EVO 4G63" is more about Buschurs cars and what they have achieved with what parts. It's almost like I bought a piece of DSM pride and history, and I think that's why I'm happy I got it.
