A/C question

Hello, I own a 98 grand prix witha 3.1 and need some help with an A/C problem. I had my compressor replaced about a month and a half ago and up until a few days ago, it has blown nice and cold. All of a sudden it stops blowing cold, it never got gradually warmer or anything like that. My compressor will still cycle on with now problem. I bought a rechange kit from advance thinking I might have a leak somewhere. When i hooked the recharge kit to the proper line I got a gauge reading of 65 psi, According to the instructions on the bottle, it says not to add any coolant if the pressure is more that 45 psi. Does any one out there have any ideas on where to look next?

Re: A/C question

When the compressor was replaced, was the compressor itself seized, or did you have a bad A/C clutch? If the compressor had an internal failure, did the shop (or you if you did it yourself) replace the accumulator and orifice filter? If not, metal shavings from the grenaded compressor could be blocking the system causing the high system pressure and the lack of cooling.
