Just my two cents - Brakes
so i put new rotors, pads, and parking brake shoes on the silvy a few days ago......of course none of the caliper mounting bolts came loose without a little torching.....anyway
My only advice is if replacing your parking brake shoes, heat up the small screw that holds the clip on at the bottom....i scheared the first one of with a 1/4 in drive ratchet and not much force. The second one, i heated for a minute, then she came right out. Anyway, just a tip for anyone who may be changing the parking brake shoes soon

Another good tip if your doing the front shoes.
Put the Torx socket in the bolt and hit it about 8-10 times knocking all of the locktite loose in the threads. Then it should just pop off with a little bit of pressure. I still have a hell of a time trying to figure out why GM would use such a lousy bolt style to hold on a major component of your vehicle. That aside don't kill yourself like I did I beat up my knuckles pretty good on one had cause when it finally broke free me, my wrench and my knuckles found on of the fender mounts that was pointing down into the fenderwell. Also Broke, 3 - 1/2" drive Torx Sockets getting them off.

Yep....did a little pounding too... If i can remember right, its t-55 TORX, so make sure you have it in the trusty tool box. get that cheater bar and the bandaids (sp) ready too
