Re: If u love Dsm you will read an help

Yeah... thanks for making me click here dumbass...
Lets do some math, shall we?

ECU = ~$300
Total comes to: About $300

95 Eclipse w/ blown motor = $300
Parts for blown motor = ~$500 - $2000
Labor (if having someone do it) = ~$alot
Total comes to: Anywhere from $800 - $4000

Your money, your choice...

You should be a math teacher, David haha.

It really depends on what you're looking for. If it's about time that you're wanting to move up a generation, and you have the extra money for a new car anyway AND if you have good resources, then why the hell not. I wouldn't suggest going to a junk yard for car parts... if you want your car to last, buy something you know that hasn't been driven the piss out of. I only get interior/exterior stuff from junk yards, nothing used will ever touch my engine.. call it paranoia if you want. I'd rather not be on the side of the highway because I was too cheap to buy a blah blah blah.

If you're not looking for a project, don't have enough money, or just not looking for a new car in general, stick with the 1.8.

Sell the 1.8 for $650,000 and then buy a Lambo and do an engine swap into the Eclipse. That's what I would do if I was in your situation.

lol You guys are so mean to the newbies.

This is kind of a dumb question if you ask me though. The real question here is, what do you want? Do you want a 1g with a 1.8 in it or do you want a 2g with a 2.0 in it? Really the math has been broken down for you already. All you have to do is decide which you really would rather have.

Re: If u love Dsm you will read an help

If your looking to spend a little bit of money then just buy an ECU for your 1.8 and call it good. But if your looking for a project go with the 2nd gen and do a rebuild or an engine swap.

Re: If u love Dsm you will read an help

$300 for an ECU? The only ECU's I have ever heard of costing that much as 95 and 90 EPROMS. You should be able to get a 1.8 ECU for like $100.

EDIT: Ho damn am I good. Look what a simple fuckin search turns up on eBay? Literally 30 seconds and typing "eclipse 1.8" on eBay finds you some good shit.

Also, "If u love DSM" you will learn atleast 5th grade level English skills so we can figure out what the colored fuck you are talking about.

My bad guys, I wasnt all that pissed off, more trying to be synically funny. I guess thats what happens after only sleeping once for 7 hours in the past 65 or so. Now I am going to bed, hopefully by tomorrow I will be back to my not quite so assholish posts.
