Re: replace window motor?

check the fuses, just to make sure you didn't blow one.

otherwise, broken window regulators are common problems on cars that are 10+ years old. i've had to replace both of mine since i got my car 4 years ago.

our window regulators contain some plastic peices which are prone to breaking. this is the weak point. here http://www.clan-davidson.com/jd/vr4/garage/windowreg/ a site where some guy has provided a way to beef-up the plastic parts to protect them from braking again. when replacing your regulator (if you must replace it and it's beyond repair), i suggest you do these upgrades to prevent a future incident.

good luck and welcome to AF!

umm...ya. there are only 2 groups of fuses. under the steering wheel, and under the hood next to the passenger headlight. so i would suggest check both groups.
