Unhappy **Transmision**

Hey guys, I really need a hand here. I have taken my car to Infinti and to Aamco, I got two different answeres from them. One said my trany is gone and needs to be rebuilt. The dealer said that I should *Start* with the brain b/c it is bad then go from there. Aamco is charging 13090 to start. The dealer is charging 650 for the automatic control unit. But get this the dealer says they don't make a rebuild kit for this trany so I don't know where Aamco would get that one from.

The Problems I am having with the trany is it wont go into 3 or 4 gear. I tried changing the trany fluid but that did help but not that much. I was thinking of trying to flush the torque convertor my self if I can and start from there. It is really hard to find a used trany but the cheapest I found was for 600 and that is from California I live in Florida so I don't want to buy it then have to pay for shipping back to Caly if it is bad.
Any Ideas???

Thanks

Before you throw your money away!!!

Your problem is likely related to fluid pressure
Before you do anything else, read this post:

Flushing

I did try changing the oil in the trany, but I didn't change the filter. I did get better but still not back to normal. I did a problem getting the car into reverse on day and my wife slammed on the gas and it went into gear since then it never was an issue. I also did have a problem getting into 1 but I did the same thing and it was fine. I tried to do the same thing from 2-3 but no success. I think I do need to flush it PROPERLY. But I don't have any one around here that will do it. What can I use to do the same thing my self?

Change the filter and if still problems then try bypassing the cooler for a day just to see if it makes a difference. The rest of my suggestions are in the other post. Keep checking it because it's still going. 91G20 is two steps ahead of you so you can learn from what he is doing. Good luck
