After using putty....

I have to say that you guys are awesome.
Just bought a dremel and some putty the other day and I've been playing around, not quite as simple as I thought.

well I had a pic, but I lost the link to it, so I'll have to take another pic when I get home. It's quite interesting.

If you're having trouble, using styrene sheets cut out in the shape of whatever it is you're building as a base for the putty will help.

Kicker: Don't , use a Dremel tool on your first putty experience. You should get a small hobby type file set with many different shapes and sizes. The dremel removes too much material and can sometimes damage the plastic by creating excessive heat. Use the styrene sheet method to create the "basic" structure/ shape of the kit. Then use the putty to fill in imperfections and create complex shapes. Remember to only use a coarser file to remove excess then go finer and finally use fine sand paper to give it a smooth finish.

yeah, I found that out. I started using the dremel, screwed everything up. Added some more putty and started shaping it with an exacto knife. Where might I find some more info on this strrene sheet method?

Kicker, there were posts in the past. Do a search for "making bodykits" or PM Jay and ask him. He magically knows right away.
