WTF is going on.

My friends grandmother has what i believe is a 89-90 chrysler/dodge caravan or whatever chrysler named. It has the 3.0 FI in it. Well she called her today at work and it wouldnt start, so i told here to tell me the symptoms, and she kept saying the hose connected to the intake manifold had fuel comming out of it i was thinking fuel line or egr. So i checked it out when i dropped her off at home and her grand mother started it well before she starts fuel comes running out of the throttler body, it was only a little bit and i know nothig about these vehicles except whats basic on every car engine. So she starts it, it cranks for a good 30 seconds and i tell her to stopp next thing i know about a 1/4 gallon of gas comes pouring out of the throttle body. All i could say was holy shit.

I told them to take the top of the manifold off to see what was inside, like i said i know nothing about these cars. But if anyone can give some insight on this its greatly appreciated, other wise i have to pic her and her husband up for work and drop them off until its fixed.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

Wow that didnt even cross my mind at the time, i guess 10 hour work days really put a hurtin on you. like i said i know noting of these engines, give me a honda, toyota, or chevy and its a different story. Let me tell them this cause her grandmother was cranking on it to no end, i told her to stop cause she would burn up the starter but she holds it down for over a minute.

And i thank you for the info.

That and possibly hydro-lock the engine if that much fuel is in the intake..
