problems with 2000 chevy malibu!
while driving it stalls out and now its beginning to shut off. it seems that its not getting gas or getting to much gas, when this occurs the car loses all power and when i let off the gas it jurks really hard. if i sit and idle in park once i take off it starts but if i crank up it takes awhile before problem starts. check engine light has came on twice the first time it came back EGR valve (didnt replace)and now it came back O2 sensor(havent replaced yet) dont want to spend money on trial and error. if anyone can help it would be appreciated. oh yeah, sometimes wont start up in morning

Welcome to AF. Please delete your duplicate post, it just clutters up the forum. Also, please post your engine size and the exact codes it came up with, that will help us help you.

Re: problems with 2000 chevy malibu!
Mine had the same problem, this is how I fix it.Found out the problem was in the vacuum system.Chevy put cheap plastic hoses on the system leading from the engine to the egr canister.Found your egr valve, trace to where it leads down to the back of engine,it should lead into a metal tube.I found a hole in mine(the plastic tube),used shrink plastic on the tube,no problem since.
