Re: Altima fans
Electric fans are electric fans, no matter where they come from: another car or from a speed shop's shelf.
I had my e-fan wired to an adjustable thermostat from Heavy Throttle but this little device failed me. Seemed like the potentiometer kept vibrating itself to max. temp. and would overheat my engine at a stop. So here's what I did: I bought a 6-dollar relay from Advance Auto and placed it inline between the battery and the fan. The other wire is connected directly to ground. Relays are genius little devices and are pretty simple to figure out. The switching voltage is pulled from the EGI relay, whatever EGI means. Polarity is pretty simple to figure out; put each wire on a battery terminal and if it spins the wrong way reverse what you're doing and mark them with tape + and -. Make sure to solder everything and use heatshrink so you don't look like an ass when you open the hood! With two fans you have two options: wire them in series to pull less current from your battery (and from other electronics) or wire them in parallel and have them move much more air.

Re: Altima fans
So why Altima fans, do they bolt up to the radiator, is the radiator on an altima the same size or even the same radiator?

Re: Altima fans
the best way is to have your fan wired to a thermostat in one of your coolant hoses so that the fan turns on when it needs to be on and is off when it doesn't need to be on. pm me if you want the kit. its pretty cheap and easy to install.
add: and to fit the altima fan into a 240, you need to saw off at least 2 of the corners. if you want it to fit properly and snug, cut all 4 corners. thats the best way to have it fit between the frame rails.
