Problems Charging the A/C

I'm having problems charging my aurora, i brought the freon from Advanced Auto and found that the connector did not fit the low pressure port of my 95 Aurora. Is there some kind of adaptor i need, or maybe my line has been moded. Thanks in advance

Re: Problems Charging the A/C

Make sure you are filling the correct valve, you have two, a low port and a high port. Your connector will only fit one. The highside is to big for it to fit on which might be what you are attempting to do. If you notice there are two valves on that same line, one before a large brass nut fitting and one closer to the fire wall, that is the one you want closest to the firewall. If it doesn't fit on there then you have either a car with R-12, which I think all Auroras have R-134 or you have the wrong fitting to fill the system. Go back to Advanced Auto and ask for assistance. Like I said you need to fill the valve that is closest to the firewall. Good luck let us know if you have any question or if your successful.

This real issue here is why the refill, leaks, parts replaced, should be evacuated and check for holding vacuum first.
